Swimming Made Sustainable: Why a PUL Cloth Nappy is the Best for Reusable Swim Nappy

Cloth nappies have been a popular choice for parents for years. They are cost-effective, eco-friendly, and gentle on your baby's skin. But what about when it comes to swimming? Can you use a cloth nappy in the pool or at the beach? The answer is yes! And PUL cloth nappies are the perfect solution.

What is PUL?

PUL stands for Polyurethane Laminate. It is a waterproof fabric that is made by laminating a thin film of polyurethane to a fabric. PUL is breathable, waterproof, and durable. It is also soft and flexible, making it an excellent choice for use in cloth nappies.

Why choose a cloth nappy for swimming?

Reusable swim nappies are a popular choice for parents who want to reduce waste and save money. PUL cloth nappies are an excellent choice for swimming because they are both reusable and waterproof. This means that you can use them over and over again, and they won't leak or become heavy in the water.

How to wash reusable swim nappies

We suggest giving them a quick rinse to wash out the chlorine, then following the same steps as any other reusable nappy. Make sure you remove any solids and they can be thrown into your normal wash! Just make sure you don’t use fabric softener, and don’t put them in the tumble drier!

You can follow our washing instructions for more detailed information.

What about Happy Nappies - will reusable swim nappies fit?

Yes! Our swim nappies are designed to fit inside a happy nappy. Most baby and toddler swimming lessons require the use of a two part system, comprising of a swim nappy underneath a happy nappy. If you already own one of our pocket nappies, you can take our colour-coded inserts out and simply use the shell.

Its really simple, and you don't have to buy any extra. CubKind's swim nappies are the same as our cloth nappies, just remove our inserts, and you are ready to go for a splash with your little one!
